Meeting Christian Hosoi....

Tonight I met my boyhood hero, Christian Hosoi. One of the greatest skateboarders in history. APU hosted a gallery of his artwork on campus, where he came and shared about his art, his life, and his ministry. Christian Hosoi is now an associate pastor at Sanctuary Church in Huntington Beach.

A little scavenger hunt in LA turned up this historic piece of American and Dodger History...

Even though the house doesn't exist anymore, this plaque located at 121 Pepper St. in Pasadena is the only marker that shows where the house stood. Two of the greatest athletes in California history lived at this address, Mack and Jackie Robinson. Mack Robinson won the silver medal in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, finishing only .4 seconds behind...Jesse Owens. Jackie Robinson went only to become a 4 sport athlete at UCLA and broke all of his older brothers track records.  Jackie never played baseball in Los Angeles.
