The story is about a little girl who lives in a village with lots of kids. She has many adventures singing and dancing. At one point she turns into a marionette with a few of the other girls, but she has so much fun singing and dancing, that she turns back into a real girl and then live happily ever after. At least...that's how this dad saw it.
